Contract Description
The 9th Contracting Squadron (9 CONS) at Beale AFB, CA intends to award a sole-source contract to Laurus Systems, Inc. for the procurement of three (3) Portable Explosive Detection Device (PEDD) kits. This acquisition is necessary to ensure enhanced explosive screening capabilities, force protection, and compliance with the Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) Mandatory Use Policy. The acquisition will utilize commercial product procedures under FAR Part 12. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program (FAR 19.1506 / Local Supplement FAR 19.107-3(b)), which permits sole-source awards to WOSBs for eligible NAICS codes.
