Contract Description
INTRODUCTION Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Navy Airborne Strategic Command, Control, and Communications Program Office (PMA-271) has a requirement for the assessment of the E-6B structure and subsystems and development of maintenance/repair/replacement recommendations in support of Sustained Mission Readiness and E-6B end of life (EOL). The E-6B aircraft is a heavily modified and militarized variant of Boeing’s 707 commercial aircraft. The E-6B Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) mission is to provide survivable, reliable, and endurable communications between the President and the nation’s nuclear forces.
