Contract Description
NUWCDIVNPT requires procurement of Firm Fixed Priced (FFP), Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN) Sole Source Services for undersea acoustic data collection, processing, and analysis during a scheduled Government Fleet Exercise in accordance with the Attached combined Solicitation/synopsis. Their specific hardware is already engineered to interface seamlessly with the Government’s undersea fiber optic cable architecture. In addition, BBN is executing concurrent activities on behalf of the Government at the designated exercise location. Introducing a second, separate contractor to perform this specific acoustic measurement task would cause logistical interference, require duplicate mobilization/demobilization costs, and create unacceptable schedule risks during a complex, multi-asset naval exercise...
