Data Security, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the three pieces of specialized data destruction equipment requiring service: the LM-1 Degausser, DX-8 Heavy-Duty Destruction Device, and SSMD-2mm Solid State Media Disintegrator. Competition is limited to this single source for the following reasons: Proprietary Knowledge and Technology: As the OEM, Data Security, Inc. possesses unique and proprietary knowledge of the equipment’s design, software, and operational tolerances.
