Contract Description
Requirement: The repair of the Ammunition Container (NSN: 1005-01-298-2522), a critical component exclusive to the F-15E's 20mm M61A1 Gatling gun system. The container is responsible for storing and feeding ammunition. Intended Source: This action will be a sole-source award to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS). Justification: The award is made under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. GD-OTS is the only source possessing the proprietary technical data and licenses required for the repair. The U.S. Government does not own the necessary data, precluding competition and making this action essential to prevent a critical gap in combat readiness.
