Contract Description

March Air Reserve Base (ARB) 452d Air Mobility Wing (452 AMW) is currently constructing a hangar as part of the KC-46 Beddown Project. A site of potential archeological interest was unearthed during construction. In accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966, as amended, and the implementing regulations [36 CFR Part 800], the site requires further assessment to determine potential adverse effects of the construction to historic properties. During excavation activities as part of the KC-46 Beddown, debris was uncovered that suggest the construction activities may have the potential to affect historic properties, as defined by the NHPA.
