The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is a component of the Department of Defense reporting to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. DeCA operates a worldwide commissary system that provides quality grocery products at substantial savings to active-duty military personnel and retirees, members of the Reserve and National Guard, and their families. DeCA’s mission is to deliver a vital benefit of the military pay system that sells grocery items at significant savings while enhancing quality of life and readiness.
