Contract Description

This project includes construction of an asphalt trail connecting the upper visitor center to the lower Acastus Trail and replacement of 36” cmp. Earthwork item includes clearing and grubbing, removing asphalt, excavation and embankment. Remove and conserve existing trail material. Grade and prepare native subbase. Existing trail material is to be conserved and used for shouldering and subgrade of resting pads. Shoulder trail slopes at 1:10 (max) with existing compacted trail material. It is the intention that all existing aggregate materials will remain onsite. Aggregate base shall be 4” depth below asphalt. Asphalt trail shall have 6’ width, 3” depth and 2% cross slope (max).
