Contract Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice. The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Safety and Environmental Health Office (SEHO) has a requirement to procure and install a crosswalk traffic control device, in the form of a Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) system. The USCG ALC currently has a RRFB system in place on State Road (SR) SR-1131, Consolidated Road, Pasquotank County, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The current RRFB system is approximately fifteen (15) years old and the USCG ALC is looking to upgrade and replace the current system. SR-1131, Consolidated Road, is a two-lane paved roadway, approximately twenty-four (24) feet wide, with a posted speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles-per-hour (MPH).
