Contract Description
HUD’s Office of Policy Development & Research is seeking a Contractor to implement a demonstration to increase the availability of financing to developers/manufacturers of modular[1] homes. HUD is interested in reducing the perceived risk of lending to developers/manufacturers of single and multifamily modular homes. The contractor will, in coordination with HUD, design a loan guarantee available to developers and manufacturers during the manufacturing period, a period which suffers from a perception of risk that makes it difficult to secure a loan for the expenses incurred during it.
