Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to place a firm-fixed priced contract with Nations Advanced Communication & Cabling, Inc. (d.b.a Lone Star Communication Inc.) for the upgrade of the Rauland Responder 5 nurse call hardware and the Rauland Overhead Paging system, plus 4 option years for the Overhead Paging system. Rauland-Borg Corp. provided a proprietary letter stating that Nations Advanced Communication & Cabling, Inc. (d.b.a Lone Star Communication Inc.) is the only authorized Rauland Distributor in the Greater San Antonio, Texas market area to supply, install, and service out products and have full warranty privileges.
