Contract Description

The Pacific Southwest Research Station (PSW), Redwood Sciences Laboratory – Arcata, CA intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Pacific Coast Trane Controls, 310 Soquel Way Sunnyvale, CA 94085. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). To solicit to another source would cause unacceptable disruption to the continuity operations and could pose potential Health and Safety risks due to a non-functioning HVAC system. This work is required to replace the existing, non-operational HVAC controls system which manage the currently installed Trane HVAC system. Soliciting another company would lead to a potential disruption of HVAC systems and due to no other systems being compatible with the existing Trane system due to proprietary hardware and software. ...
