INTRODUCTION The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single firm-fixed-price contract for the design-bid-build Replace Building 1 Windows project at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital located in Madison, WI. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project involves construction to Replace Building 1 Windows. Building 1 is a historical (1949 era) building that is approximately 618,000 square foot in size that serves a number of the main hospital functions including, but not limited to surgical center, ambulatory surgery center, inpatient/outpatient pharmacies, many clinics, administrative space, emergency care, inpatient care, laboratories, research, long ter...
