Contract Description
The contractor shall procure all materials and complete repairs and upgrades to the existing Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) shiplift system at the King Abdulaziz Naval Base (KANB), as described within this PWS. The contractor shall ensure the repairs completed for this requirement result in a complete and useable shiplift and transfer platform system. The shiplift system is comprised of a drydocking platform that utilizes wire ropes driven by hydraulic winches to lift ships from the water for maintenance purposes. The transfer platform uses a recessed pit to move ships laterally across the shipyard and is driven by a tow vehicle.
